Summary
- This fabricated story continues the tale of Adam and Eve after they were expelled from the Garden of Eden: The first line states, "When Adam and Eve were expelled from paradise, they made for themselves a tent and spent seven days mourning and lamenting in great sadness. But after seven days, they began to be hungry and sought food to eat and did not find any." For example, Eve, being three months pregnant, laments the damage she has brought on Adam and decides to leave him. But when it was time for the baby to be born, she cried out for Adam, and he returned as angels delivered the baby named Cain. Adam and Eve reconciled, and Eve became pregnant again and gave birth to Abel. The book continued in this way. The book ends by declaring that Adam was created where the city of Bethlehem would one day be built. Also, earlier, after Adam was created, God tasked four angels with naming him. Each took the first letter of a different star's name and formed the word "Adam."
